The soul becomes blessedly lost to all when we cannot be who we are.

Meister Eckhart

It is said, that some people take photos and some people make photos (Ansel Adams). I took photos until I had an opportunity to learn how to make photos during a four-day photo workshop in Maine called “Art for the Heart,” led by Kerry Payne Stailey. It was here that my photography was taken to a different level when Danielle Amy and I chose to collaborate on a multimedia piece under Kerry’s guidance. Without Dani’s technological skills this piece would not have transformed beyond still photography. Dani and I assembled video, sound, imagery and text in this collaborative three minute video.

A sudden loss of a father and a journey to overcome past trauma brought Danielle Amy and Michele Bourgeau together to visualize a process of healing. Sprung from the poem titled Jerusalem by Meister Eckhart, both artists created this oeuvre by practicing mindfulness and awakening into the layered beauty of our elements and senses.

Blessedly Lost
